Yin and Sound

Yin yoga is a relatively gentle practice that targets the ligaments, tendons, fascia, and joints. Students are instructed to get into a pose or shape (usually remaining on the floor), and with the use of props and various adaptations where necessary. In finding the pose's individual expression for you, we seek the sensation of "the edge of pain", a discomfort that can be held and sustained with a gentle breath, in a target area. Then we become still and hold the posture with a gentle breath, and the intention of softening and relaxing, for 3 - 10 minutes.
